3 September 2013 Tuesday
After good breakfast at the hotel, we walked to Curio Market.
A very interesting set up where people went for Barter trade ! This is what we traded for two pack of coffee.
and the rest we purchased. Looked back, the idea of barter trade is a gimmick. It attract people and when we were at the stall, we ended up make a lot more purchases. Overall, it was enjoyable and very good bargain.
Back to the hotel rear garden, there are several zebra in the compound. We did not see any at Chobe National Park.
Our pictures with zebra.
and not so friendly monkeys…
Checking out and waiting for our transport…Sit on this chair. It is the most comfortable chair I had ever sat on.
Then the drummer started tapping…
Rhythm with African Heartbeat, as we board our bus. A very memorable experience – graceful animals and images of difficult livelihood.
It was an afternoon flight. Clearing out from Johannesburg Airport around 1530 hrs. It was a 30 mins short drive to Maslow Hotel. Checked in and a little wash up. We were ferried to nearby Nelson Mandela Square.
A large complex and we did some shopping. A large number of up market product at Michelangelo Tower Mall.
Had dinner at one of the outlet.
2000 hrs. We were back to Maslow.
End of Day 6 : A day of low level activities – enjoyable barter trading and some shopping at Nelson Mandela Square.
