1 September 2013 Sunday
After hotel breakfast, checked out and headed to Johannesburg Airport. Waiting for our flight to Zambia.
It was early noon when we touch down Zambia. Custom clearance was slow. After clearance, we waited for our transport. Saw this very interesting toilet…
It was hot dusty road to our hotel. After checked in, we started our walk to Victoria fall.
This is the gentleman who discover the Victoria Fall.
Rocky and rough terrain…
Misty Gorge ahead…
Picture of Gorge…

A little rainbow…
Our pictures….
We were back to hotel after hike to Victoria Fall for some wash up. 1630 hrs, we were ferry to the train station. The program – Sunset train ride followed by dinner on the train.
Welcome drink and exploring the train.
The train started to move…. I looked back from the train…..and the images I saw touches my soul ever since…. people here were having tough life.
Away from the town area… The vegetation were very dry
Sunset over the semi dessert plain. While the sun beam brightly, the naked trees gave me a sorry feeling.
The train finally came to a stop. The engine car was disengaged and moved to back of carriage for our returned trip.
Disembarked. Safari Sunset.
Our pictures
A group photo before getting onto the train.
Dusk falls….the last of purple pink sky.
Ready for dinner
The stuff were superb !
End of Day 4 : We seen Victoria fall. It was not at its peak force. We had glimpse of life in Zambia. It kept me thinking about choices the local had in such difficult environment. … And a wonderful safari sunset cum dinner on a luxury train.
