24 October 2014 Friday.

Woke up to a very windy morning. A quick check and we were expecting 44 KM/hr wind throughout the day.

Our motel room has this small private garden attached. We had hot noodles and hot coffee in our private garden with a cold wind gusting outside. Enjoyable !

Nice little pond right at the center of the garden.

I thought reflection would be superb if not because of high wind.

We spent a long while enjoying the ferocious wind and wonderful sighting. Judging from the sheer size of of Akaroa and Lyttelton, which are craters remain of volcano,I just could not imagine the dimension of its eruption.

It was almost 1600 hrs before we got on the Gondola and made our way down hill.

We decided to make a short turn to Lyttelton and had a look at this Crater Port Harbor.

We had more shopping at Westfield Riccarton followed by more packing for our return flight.

It was a enjoyable day full of Christchurch Varieties…. Garden , City, Gondola, ribs and beer and shopping.
