22 October 2014 Wednesday.
We spend sometimes to survey the Pepper Bluewater before checking out. The set up is very cool.
The external view is outstanding…
The sun was intense when we were done with checking out.
We visited the neighboring alpaca farm.
Cute animals !
Our pictures with the animals…
Lake Takapo is just across the road…beautiful green lake on one end.
Rocky blue on the other end….
people enjoying themselves at the play ground.
Our Pictures by the lake
1100 hrs…. we started our drive to Christchurch.
We make several stop along the way…for sheep farm, for roadside alpaca
….and for beautiful avenue.
From far… we saw a stretch of yellow color.
Navigated towards the canola farm…
We could see an enormous canola farm at the foot of the snow capped mountains.
Arrived at the canola farm
We love the infinity yellow very much !
My wife was exceptionally glad….
Our pictures in the canola farm…
A final close up picture of canola.
We continued our drive to Ashburton. The sharp grass patch definition remind me of Biei (Road of Patchwork).
Looking ahead… the snow capped peak above the cloud. The base of mountain is not really visible…. pretty unique sighting.
Towards Ashburton….the terrain consists of tall pine, low scrub and massive green sheep farm.
Approaching another stretch of grassland that resemble Microsoft Window screen display.
A stopover at Ashburton… our third Subway lunch.
another picture on long stretch of power grid
We had another stop at Rakaia Salmon Center…for some leisure coffee…
1600 hrs ….we arrived at Hagley Park Motel…. checked in and had the rest of evening shopping along Riccarton Street and at Westfield Mall.
End of day 19. We had some good time at Lake Tekapo before our long drive to Christchurch. A wonderful stopover at Canola Farm. Ended the day with leisure shopping in the Westfield Mall.
