Woke up to very sumptuous breakfast.
After breakfast, We stepped out of the Cruise ship and took a picture of DC Tower. It has one wavy face representing the liquid surface of Danube. This is Phase I of DC Towers.
The tour bus drove us to the City Center, introducing us to various key building include Landtmann restaurant – where Sigmund Freud frequent, Sigmund Freud University and Museum, Vienna Marathon route. We started our guided tour near Hofburg Palace.
This is an excavation site beside the palace near Michael platz. Archeologist found Roman remains at this site.

St Stephan Cathedral was the second site our guide spend quite awhile to described.
Inside the Cathedral, every corner of the building carries its unique designed details. It would take a full day to enjoy this wonder.
Vienna impressed me with its high density of fine sculptures and statues.
After all the introduction, it was shopping time…The starting point of the shopping district
Christmas shopper were flooding the street at this morning hours.
A short walk and we were at the Vienna Christmas Market.
Most crowded Christmas Market we seen in this trip.
Kids enjoy, adults have coffee, relax and enjoyable.

we were ferried back to the cruise ship for lunch. When we entered our cabin….
After Lunch at Cruise Ship, we were back to the Shopping district. It was about 3 PM and some of the lighting were on. More people roamed the street.
The area in front of St Stephan Cathedral was packed with people.

We walked into one of the supermart… and guess what we saw…tropical fruits at 20 to 30X that of Singapore price.
Back onto the shopping street…more crowded
We noticed this very nice mural while making our way to the Christmas market. It told the story of three wise men spotted the star when Jesus was born.
Remember Cafe Landtmann… this was the restuarant where Sigmund Freud frequent.
Entering the Market…1700 hrs and it was dark.

Close in on the City Hall Square. The orange light inside the building make it look gorgeous.
We returned to Amasonata for dinner…
End of Day 9…. Vienna is a gorgeous City. The Christmas market was spectacular. I will be back for more exploration.
