We started late this morning. Leisurely we strolled along the Danube.
Exploring Danube River Bank.
There are number of art pieces along the bank of Danube – modern and not century old monuments.

The Little Princess
Shoes on the Danube Bank…The sad story… Budapest Jews were ordered to step out of their shoes before being shot and their bodies fell into the Danube.

Four Season Hotel was located at the Pest end of Chain Bridge.
Momentarily Darkness…. we thought there was some sort of eclipse.
The chain Bridge was built in 1849 (more than 160 years ago) – Guardian lion and the “Chain”. It must be a wonder during those days.

The Zero KM Stone was located at the Buda end of Chain Bridge. All roads in Hungary have their Zero KM mark located at this point.
We had our lunch in the cafe just besides the Funicular. Interesting Hamster sharing our lunch.
After Lunch, we hopped into the funicular which sent us to the summit.

Exit the Funicular station, we were at Habsburg Gate _ entrance to Royal Palace. The Turul Bird is the center of attractions.
Ancient castle remains on the side of castle hill facing away from Danube.
There are so many site to explore at castle hill
It was around 1500 hrs… the sun it was ticking down the horizon…

A close up and we were amazed by the fine detail of the smaller display. We were enveloped in a Heavenly Art Piece.

More Crowd gathered around Fisherman Bastion. It look wonderful at night.
We make our way back to Hapsburg Gate Funicular Station.
Chain Bridge and its Guardian Lions…. It was a cool experience to stroll with Danube breeze on this Christmas Day.
We had our dinner at Boom and Brass. The ambient was good.
We had very good dinner, especially the Goose Liver portion was huge and tasted wonderful.
After Dinner, we explored the Fashion street.

Our lovely merry go round…It was time to collect our luggage and catch the night train to Zurich.
At the Budapest Train Station …. and our cabin.
A very special way to spend our Christmas on this very wonderful City. A lot of spectacular and enjoyable sighting. Good dinner and special night train experience.
